The second 99designs Cafe took place in Jakarta on July 12th, gathering a small collective of Indonesian designers to share their passion for design. This time, the event played host to Top Level designer Stevanus Gerald who shared his insight on contest selection and workflow. Based on a quick survey taken during the last 99designs Cafe, we knew participants wanted to hear more from Top Level designers. Well, ask and ye shall receive!
Stevanus was the perfect speaker, answering questions from the other designers about tackling workload during a contest and strategically choosing contests for better management of work.
During the open discussion, the attendants also participated in a creative project to paint their own interpretation of batik-style illustration on 1 small canvas. These canvases would later be displayed together to form a mosaic artwork that’s authentically Indonesian.
