Ron Schwab is the author of the popular Western series, The Law Wranglers, The Coyote Saga, and The Lockes, as well as several standalone novels, including Grit, a winner of the Western Fictioneers Peacemaker Award for Best Western Novel, and Cut Nose, a finalist for the Western Writers of America Best Western Historical Novel. He is a member of the Western Writers of America, Western Fictioneers, and Mystery Writers of America.
Jack Wills and his longtime friend and saddle partner of nearly forty years, Rudolph Kilgore, assumed they had long ago outrun their last Comanche war party. Tending to the Lucky Five Ranch, with Jack’s 12-year old dog, Thor, at their side, was now a more appealing way to spend their remaining years than the decades of close calls they experienced. But a mysterious rider approaching the Lucky Five will change everything for Jack and Rudy, and their peaceful lives will be uprooted by the revelation of a long-kept secret that prompts one last adventure for the “old dogs.” Adventure abounds in Ron Schwab’s latest Western novel that will leave you laughing, crying, and in suspense until the very end.
Western genre readers, both men and women . . . most readers probably middle-aged or older.

No specific color requirements.
The elements of the cover design should be that of the Western genre. Please look at the author's website (www.ronschwabbooks.com) and his other book covers for mood, style, and font ideas. Also, a few images of his book covers are attached. We would like something like those. Two of the main characters are an older (70-year old) man and his large, black dog. Aside from the man and the dog, several other cowboys riding horses and a chuck wagon could be on the cover . . . but the the man and the dog should be featured. A lot of the action occurs in the Chihuahuan Desert in West Texas in the 1880s, specifically a canyon in the desert. These elements could be incorporated into the cover. One idea is for the man and his dog to be at the top of the canyon, looking down into the desert. We are open to any good ideas and concepts, though! The print cover's dimensions are the following: 5.25" x 8" 1.075" spine width (cream paper) I will also need files for the e-book, of course!
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at $299.
