Create a cover for mystery/thriller e-book

Self-published author of urban fantasy thrillers.

I need a front cover for a fiction e-book - entitled First Blood - aimed at young adults but also suitable for adult readers.

It is very important the design echoes the style / feel of the cover for Blood Will Tell (attached) because both books are in the same series. They need to be coherant. That does not mean the design should be a reworking of the same concept, though.

Preferably the design would include a silhouette of a church steeple (English style) emerging from a reservoir. The story is set in high summer, during a drought, and involves the drowning of a teenage girl who is midnight skinny dipping. Weeping willows surround the reservoir. Feel free to include the moon if you wish (but not a full one) There is also a green skull in the novel, if you prefer to take your design in that direction.

I have attached a sample from the first chapter so you can see how these elements knit together in the story.

Also, please don't think 'Amityville horror' instead think 'modern day fairy tale' and maybe take inspiration from the attached Leigh Bardugo and other example covers.

The dimensions need to be 1600 x 2560 pixels. File type JPEG. 350dpi and less than 50MB. Must be RGB.
