Create the front book cover for detective novel

We are writers which are going to self-publish a Russian ebook (adventure detective novel).

We want a front book cover. To get exactly what we want and for your better understanding we wrote the detailed description.

1. The general idea of our book

For your better understanding we want to say a few words about the book we wrote. The book title is “Codename: Chimera”. This is an adventure detective novel with elements of mysticism. The main hero is a private detective from New-York City, who investigates a mystery of millionaire's death in the Brooklyn slums. The central element of the story is an antique precious medallion, which has a mystic curse. Everybody who owned this medallion, died in a strange way. “Codename: Chimera” is a dynamic detective action.

2. The concept of the book cover

• The book cover should be eye-catching and attract attention among thousands other book covers.
• The book cover should look like a poster of Hollywood blockbuster (please see as an example attached files “Poster01-09”)

2.1 The style of the book cover

2.2 Foreground

The next ideas can inspire you to create the composition of the book cover:

 - Medallion

 - A table of the private detective

But do not use the faces of the people.

Please make note that you are welcome to create your own idea and represent it on the book cover. Remember also that the genre of our book is detective.

 2.3 Text on the book cover

On the book cover must be placed three elements – the title, authors and a slogan.
Book title – Кодовое имя: Химера
Authors – Дж. К. Перси
Slogan – Ты не услышишь это (this phrase must be in italics)
Disposition of the title, authors, the slogan and its color, style, type - it's up to designer.

3. Requirements for cover image's technical features

To be accepted when self-publishing book cover must meet the following requirements:
• The image's filename extension must be .jpeg or .jpg or .png
• The image file must be two-dimensional, not 3D or pseudo-3D
• Book cover must be in RGB color, not CYMK
• Book cover must be vertical rectangle-shaped (the height is greater than the width), not squares
• Size must be approximately 1600 pixels wide and 2400 pixels tall (height 50% greater than width). Size 2500x4000 would be ideal.
