I have written another book called Spera which takes place on an alien world
What's your vision?
I have written a couple books already, you can find them at amazon.com/author/zachturner This book will be a prequel to Visions, which you'll find on that page also. I need a cover for the new book Spera which will begin as an ebook. Here is the synopsis for Spera: "Spera, an emerald in the cosmos, floats undisturbed on the mid-rim of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Sperans of the Southern Continent have had their disputes with the Northern Continent's tribes of Incubo, but tensions turn to war when the Sperans begin colonization of the Northern Continent. One young Speran, Sul Kedal, finds himself in the midst of war both between races and within himself. Facing a killer, questions of morality and responsibility battle within him and he quickly finds he's a larger part of history than he had intended to be." I was thinking of what the cover might look like, and I'm leaving it rather open. One possibility is to emulate the cover of Visions, but instead of a large human eye, have a very detailed Speran eye, with lots of reflections. I'd really like to see what that might look like. Other than that, anything goes. Feel free to ask me questions about the storyline or plot. I'll attach mockups of what Sperans and Incubo look like. There is also a very large and ornate Temple built out of vines and trees. It has five large spires acting as the trunk of the structure and they curve over the top of it slightly. That would be cool to put in the background or the reflection of the eye. I've attached some mock ups and excerpts from the book of what the Temple looks like. I apologize for the rudimentary mock ups but I'm on a bit of a time crunch. I need the final result by Friday. Lastly, here's an excerpt of the general landscape of Spera:"a small Speran boy ran through the violet fields of grass and rye. His silvery skin reflected the cobalt sky above him, making him almost glow. The white streaks across the sky let through the ruby rays of the sun and warmed the boy’s spirit." --- I've been getting a lot of questions on what the Speran eye looks like. With Sperans, you cannot see their pupils. They have a multiply layered cornea, making their eyes shimmer with different colors as they turn their eye. Theey are much larger and more concave than a human eye, closer to a fish eye. Lots of light reflections contrasted with dark would look cool. Sort of like this I suppose: http://ayay.co.uk/backgrounds/action_games/area_51/grey-alien-with-reflection-in-eye.jpg just the eye though.
Fell free to contact me at any time to ask questions about design or the story of the book. Thanks.
