What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Title: The First Cut
Authors: CHUCK BUDA (all caps)
This is a dark, psychological thriller about a group of wannabe vampires. A group of teenagers dabble in vampire worship and some of their parents get involved as well. There is plenty of sexual tension and bloodletting as the group finds it has taken things too far.
There are a few concepts I’m considering for the cover.
CONCEPT ONE:
A set of fangs in a smiling mouth.
CONCEPT TWO:
A dark concept without pictures at all. Just a creepy, horrific tone.
CONCEPT THREE:
A beautiful home with blood in a window OR a bloody mailbox OR bloody footprints up the front walk.
CONCEPT FOUR:
Got a better idea? I’m open to anything that looks top-notch and conveys the themes expressed above.
WHAT THIS COVER SHOULD BE:
The cover should say classy psychological thriller, and look like a bestselling book. No tacky looking thrown together stock photos. This should look like a top notch, high quality psychological thriller book.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
I’ll need a 6×9 300 dpi (or higher) cover for print (will also need spine and back done)
I also need a 2400×2400 300 dpi version for the audiobook version.
I also need a 3-D rendition for marketing via social media.
You can play with different effects on the text if you can think of something cool to go with the themes.
