What's your vision?
Book Title: StrangeHer Love Author: Courtney Lane Length: approximately 300 pgs. Target Market: Adults 25-35 Alt Crowd, Romantic RPG gamers, and Hipsters who relish in complex and layered romances. Genre: Adult Romance Needed: ebook Cover 8.5” x 11” Short Synopsis: Charis (23) is a nonconformist, with an eclectic group of friends, living in an overwhelming conformist world. As a former child-prodigy, she is growing tired of the need to sacrifice herself, and her beliefs to keep her family/friends afloat. Enter, Wiley Kenzie. He says all the right things, and looks the part of the man Charis could want...for the moment. After a communication debacle, Wiley misreads Charis’ signals as disinterest, and sets her up with his best friend, Porter Hanson. Porter is not the type of man Charis would normally go for, and their meeting is a complete disaster. After a night that nearly ends in tragedy, a bond is forged between them that neither can deny. The deeper Charis and Porter’s relationship becomes, the more the facade they hold up to the world begins to break apart. A facade that once broken, reveals a darkness that changes the course of everything. Character Description: Charis skin tone is a red-based rich cappuccino (dark brown). She has very tightly coiled hair (search 4b natural for accurate hair pictures) that reaches her low back. She changes her hair color throughout the book so a blue ombre, or a dark blue base with lighter blue highlights is fine. The hair can be pictured down or up in a textured high bun. She is a punk rock girl, and it is reflected in her style. She loves heavy makeup and funky lip colors. She has three facial piercings (septum, monroe, and vertical labret), one cheekbone dermal). She deconstructs clothes she obtains from thrift stores, or makes them herself. Think 80's colorful print minis and off-shoulder shirts. She's petite and slender with feminine curves. She has eleven tattoos, but the only ones that I would like to possibly show for my vision are the ones on her legs, lilacs on her left ankle and a jeweled broadsword on the side of her right calf. She never wears pants, so whatever bottom she is wearing should be shorts, or a skirt. Vision: I imagined her standing on the sidewalk in front of a brick building with a simple font detailing the novels title: Strange Love. She is facing the wall with a can of red spray paint in her hand. The words her are added with red spray paint. There could be two male shadowy figures, or motion capture blurred (her love interests in the book). One wears t-shirts, slim fit jeans and newsboy caps. The other wears button ups and slacks, his hair is usually in a pompadour. I would prefer that her face not be fully shown, if at all. A slight side view is fine. I would like to leave her facial appearance up to the readers imagination as much as possible. Feel free to add your spin on my vision. Addendum: If you decide to show more skin for the main character, here are some of the tattoos on her upper body to be shown where applicable. They are as follows: A colorful creation flower between the shoulder blades. Script on her spine written in cursive: "Anticipate the end. Never forget the beginning." Dragon from shoulder to elbow.A jeweled broadsword on the right calf, and lilacs, on the left ankle. I don't expect them all, nor do I expect them to be incredibly detailed.
The inspiration picture is almost exactly image I had in mind (minus the woman in it, or the smiling). I would like the wall to look like the side of a corporate brick building. The image can be gray-scale or color, but it must be slightly dark to reflect the novel's content. The hair color is exact in picture #2.The hair texture is exact in picture #3.The last 3 pictures are outfit ideas minus the one with pants.Note: I put these pictures up for inspiration. I do not own, nor do I have any rights to the images; so please do not use them. Thanks!
