Jdforooz got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Help Loving Our Religious Neighbors: Fruit Of The Spirit In A Multi-Religious Culture with a new book or magazine cover
Check out Jdforooz's Book cover contest…
Loving Our Religious Neighbors is a curriculum that prepares Christians communities with a biblical foundation to build peaceful relationships with people from different faiths. For example, Christians and Muslims are visiting each each others' mosques and churches and they are serving society together. But we do not compromise our beliefs. Christians and Muslims and nonChristians have irreconcilable beliefs/views and we don't compromise that.
What's your vision?
This is an explicitly Christian book for Christian communities. The goal of the book is to enable Christians to learn how to build convicted yet respectful relationships with their religious neighbors. The Christians are not compromising their faith by building these relationships; instead they are learning to put their faith into practice as peacemakers. Jesus says, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God." Christians are taking ownership of our title as "children of God" through this book that is used as a curriculum for a 5-week campaign between churches and their religious neighbors (mulsim communities, for instance, but can be used in relationship with all other religions). The core message of the book is that Christians are called to interact with their religious neighbors through the fruit of the Spirit. The core Bible verse of the book is Galatians 5: "the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." I'd like the cover to communicate the fruit of the spirit somehow. Please be creative!! And make it unique!! I like simplicity. Less is more. I don't like cliche. I like clean. Please make the book 6x9. On the back of the book, please place filler text for 4 endorsements and a summary of the book.
