An Invitation...

'An Invitation...to the life of your dreams' is an inspirational fiction that takes the reader on a journey of discovery, both physically and emotionally, from modern day London to the ancient wisdom of China.

The target audience is busy successful women, aged 25-45, who feel like there may be more to life and are interested in exploring alternative worldly wisdoms.

It aims to be a quick and easy read, which makes thousands of years of cultural teachings accessible to the reader. It relates to the complexities and stresses of modern day life in London, then takes us on a journey to China, bringing to life rich cultural diversity and life lessons.

Travel, romance, suspense, and spirituality come together, providing insight into different perspectives and practical ways to achieve personal empowerment.

This book will resonate with people who are feeling that there must be more to life and are interested in exploring powerful ancient spiritual teachings, whilst being captivated in a modern day story of romance, drama and travel.

I would like a book cover that can be used for paperback and digital formats (therefore it needs to standout as a thumbnail as well as a book). The cover should be positive, warm and inspirational, to appeal to female readers and I would love your creative ideas, as well as using my ideas below.

My idea for the cover is the scene of enlightenment in the story, where everything comes together and she finds herself, her calling, inner peace and the love of her life. The main female character is sat at the top of Yellow Mountain in China, looking out over the mountain view below at sunset.

I have a clear vision of how this would look but I am also open to other ideas and your expertise and creativity. I would like the book to appeal to a female audience and the colour palette to be warm, perhaps with tones of a purple as the main hue. Thank you.

I will credit the winning design in the book, plus you are welcome to use this as a case study in your own portfolio. I am hoping to do a pre-launch campaign and will ask an influential audience of several hundred people to vote on my top 3 covers from 99 Designs, giving additional exposure out to a wider audience of you and your skills. This is the first in a series of three and hopefully the others will get more funding, so I hope that this can be an on-going relationship, which I can also recommend to others.
