Good Night, Jacob, I Love You...
Myra Morgan McCallum
Myra McCallum was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She has spent most of her life living there or in Florida. She is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University where she received a B.A. in English and a Masters in Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She graduated with honors and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She has spent the majority of her adult life as a high school English teacher. While always passionate about writing and story-telling, this is her first novel. According to her, "It was a labor of intense emotion and determination and most certainly one of love." Myra lives in Florida with her husband Michael. The couple has two sons and five grandchildren.
Good Night, Jacob, I Love You...is indeed a love story but not a traditional one and certainly not a predictable one. It takes place in a small Georgia town in the early twentieth century and travels slowly with a steady pace to the mid-twentieth century. Lives in this small town could be described as ordinary if not mundane. That is for everyone except a young mother who faces the most terrifying dilemma of her life. This dilemma can destroy those closest to her as she must choose between life or death...but for whom?
Adult reader from age 20 on.
Book cover type
I have designed a book cover. It is provided for you on the image file below. While it is not in any way professional, it is quite similar to what I want the cover to look like although I'm not opposed to other ideas. My cover is actually a symbol of one of the main characters, so It's important that it is a perfect rose bud, but with a few fallen pedals and leaves. As far as the background is concerned, I want the colors to blend from color to color. I want the outside edge of the cover to be a medium blue and graduate into a softer light blue. (I noticed on my image that the light blue is barely visible. Certainly, it should be more pronounced but lighter than the medium blue.) The light blue should blend to white leaving the focus on the title and the rose bud. I will accept other ideas, this doesn't have to be etched in stone.
