This book speaks about Nora's story :
She grew up in a quite rich traditional family.
Nora feels increasingly misunderstood by her family, friends and even by God. She seeks God, but she does not know how to find Him. Several events (disappointment with boys ...) make it folds more about herself.
In her despair, she began regularly to swallow huge quantities of food and then she make her vomiting immediately. She has remorse, but it can no longer control herself. Her school level drops and she is forced to tell the truth to her parents. She feels that they do not understand her. Nora is so desperate that she sees only one way out: to end her days by a suicide.
At the last moment she changes her mind and decides to seek help from a Christian friend she met at school.
After another unsuccessful conversation with his parents (father enrolled her in a clinic to overcome this disease, but Nora does not feel comfortable with this idea), she left home and shared an apartment with other Christians. Over time, the relationship with his parents improves. Nora tries to understand their position and how to act in the light of the Bible.
In the last chapter, some time has past. Nora is writing her story, she is married and got a little boy. The Lord delivered her illness, her fears and despair.
