Towards Liberalism: A Challenge to Objectivist Ethics
I am a stay at home mom and I do child development work. (See "The Observant Mom"...me.) I am passionate about putting parents in touch with their child's inner world. I challenge highly "rational" philosophies that deny the inner world.
Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism has an errant view of human nature. She says our emotions must be "programmed." They cannot. Her ethics causes tremendous damage.
Anyone damaged by Rand's Objectivism or anyone interested in promoting better emotional intelligence.
I want a woman breaking from chains on the front cover. It absolutely has to be this. Rand says women looks best when "chained." It's a direct refutation. I want her to be oozing beauty. I want it to have the cartoonish "art deco" feel of Rand's non-fiction books, which I will attach pictures of. The idea is to get up into their brains and show how they deny the female, the feminine, and she, a separate, real entity, is breaking free.
What to avoid
She is breaking free from the chains. She is not being bound by them. I don't want anything that looks "religious" either, which most stock photos are, where they are lifting their arms towards the sun. She's breaking the chains because she is finding HER strength.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
amp237 collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
