“The Auctor Trilogy” is the title of the book. The author name is T.R. Wolf. I would like the words to be in an interesting, but very readable, font.
I would like the Celtic Trilogy symbol to be involved in some way – either front and center or something more subtle.
I would also like to have in the background a mountain as the characters spend the vast majority of the book traversing down a mountain. The mountain does not have any snow or ice involved – it is during August and the mountain has fall colors all over it.
I do not think that I want any people shown in the cover, but am open to suggestions. If there is a person, then it should be Addie, who is the main character. Addie has black hair and sapphire blue eyes, is tall and thin. I do not want anything sexual about Addie – she is not a sexualized character in any way.
The color that I would like to be involved would be a deep violet – whether this is throughout the entire cover, just in the Celtic Trilogy symbol, or just in the title.
Covers that I really like of other books are Victoria Aveyard’s series, Alexandra Bracken’s “Passenger” series, Marie Lu’s “Young Elites” series, and Claudia Gray’s “A Thousand Pieces of You” series.
Description of the book:
Every few hundred years, a new Trilogy is born. The Trilogy are three generations of Auctor females and are members of the Exemplars, who are a coterie of magical families. The Trilogy has the ability to rid the world of the House of Hawthorne, a hate-filled family that has been warring with the Exemplars for centuries because the Exemplars have magical powers that the House of Hawthorne both resents and covets.
Constance Auctor is a member of the Auctor Trilogy in the late 1600’s. In order to protect herself and her family, she strikes a deal with the Exemplars in which she promises that the next Trilogy will destroy the House of Hawthorne. The Exemplars and the House of Hawthorne call a truce in the fighting, designed to last until the next Trilogy comes into existence.
Hundreds of years later, Evelyn Auctor is the first in the newest Auctor Trilogy. As a teenager, she becomes pregnant with Donovan Hawthorne’s twins. Shunned by the Exemplars and her family for her relationship with a Hawthorne and abandoned by Donovan, Evelyn moves to Salem, Massachusetts where she raises her two children.
Seventeen years later, Donovan Hawthorne returns and murders Evelyn. Her two children, Addie and Augustus, are taken to their grandmother’s home. While there, Addie discovers that she is a member of the Trilogy and that Donovan Hawthorne wants her dead, too. In order to protect them from the House of Hawthorne, Addie and Augustus are sent to Initiation at the Exemplars’ University, the Wicked Cabal.
Initiation is nothing like Addie expects. She is immediately separated from her brother and thrown in with a group of four other Initiates – Fallon, Maddox, Liam, and Tempe. While everyone else befriends her, Maddox seems to despise her, and she soon discovers the reason – it isn’t just her family that knows that her father is a member of the despised House of Hawthorne. Addie must decide what secrets to tell her fellow Initiates and what secrets to keep hidden while they overcome physical obstacles and battles eldritch monsters. All the while, the betrayal that the previous Auctor Trilogy has set upon her lays in wait.
The first in a series of six books, The Auctor Trilogy provides adventure, suspense, treachery, and romance. This book focuses on Addie’s Initiation.
