Our organisation is us getting married? Weird form question for a design brief.
What's your vision?
Hi there designers! So I'm on the dev team here at 99designs and thought getting the invites for my upcoming wedding designed here would be a great way to better understand the platform and get to know the designer community a bit better - so here's our wedding contest :-) There are two main themes to the wedding: a bit of a nautical visual theme, and the fact that I'm Australian and Emma's a New Zealander. With those ideas, we thought our invitations should be in the style of a flyer for a trans-tasman ferry from the golden age of steam travel. We've put a bunch of examples of flyers at http://www.pinterest.com/johnbarton/aunz-passenger-liner-advertising/ and put comments on each one with our likes/dislikes and which concepts we'd like to see incorporated. We're looking to print them in A5 size, but probably on A4 stock cut in half - so a white border to account for bleed is likely to be required. We'd like something that looked pretty close to being printed back in the era of 4 colour printing (but if an extra shade or two would help the design along that's totally OK) and it'll be printed on lightly textured midweight stock. Things the invite needs to say (roughly): * Wedding of Emma Cooke and John Barton (though if the design looks better with last names dropped off that's OK) * Late Afternoon of February the 28th 2015 in Brunswick, Victoria * Dress code: Lounge Suit * RSVP by November 1st to email@example.com * More details at http://jbandem.com We're not sure if something like the "Union Line - Australia New Zealand" should be left in or out and would be keen to see concepts of both versions.

And then… they selected a winner!
Dion Miting did a fantastic job! Was the first to put up a design, and was the last to continue to impress and improve his design to perfection! Great work!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
