Icons should be easy to understand. Make sure that the icon represents the category it’s being made about it. We want people to be able to interpret the icon without the word underneath it. We posted examples in design inspiration labeled "Icon Example #1-#3". We want to do a fun "natures elements" artistic spin, off of these basic icons.
Also, no bold typeface.
Please use the typeface: miso
We already have a logo (posted). With this contest, we are trying to find a designer to develop the icons for the product descriptions of our clothing. We have a total of 11 icons that need to be developed and here they are as follows:
Signature Series - Cursive writing of “Signature Series”
Durable - Black diamond / double black diamond / redwood tree
Waterwear - Large body of ocean/wave
Stretch - Woven fabric being stretched
Warmth - Hot steam
Breathable - Air/wind
Light-weight - Feather
Water-repellent - Water droplet bouncing off ground or an umbrella with it raining
Performance - arrow pointing up with mountain as a graph
Quick Drying - Water droplet with a clock behind it
Sustainability - We are open to your (SNSTR) creativity.
Recycled Polyester - plastic bottle w/ thread coming out.
Recycled wool - Wool/sheep with some type of recycled arrows.
Hemp - Hemp Plant
Organic cotton - Cotton ball/plant
Natural Fibers - 3 plants being woven into thread
Bamboo - Bamboo Plant
Next to each category, we have an idea of what we want for our icons. However, that being said, WE ARE OPEN TO WHATEVER you feel is congruent with our company's brand.
We are looking for designs that are simple and to the point with a unique abstract quality to them without being cartoony. Our target audience is ages 21-45, primarily males involved in the NorCal outdoor community. We want to portray a chill lifestyle of what Northern California has to offer. So far we've preferred the designs with softer edges and a more organic flow versus a geometric/industrial one, for example, similar to the lines on a topo map.
We like Earth Tone colors.
**Also, we want to see what icons would look like on a kraft paper clothing hang tags, under a product description on website.**
