A PhD research student is seeking a comic strip illustrator to develop illustrations to support a social marketing campaign for durable toilets. These tools will be market tested and validated and used to develop an integrated promotional campaign for new sanitation products and services.

Latrine type: Unlined/nkhokwe pit latrine or recently collapsed unlined/nkhokwe pit latrine
The images should be attractive and engaging for adults. The use of humour must be applied in each message. The use of comic strips or similar layouts can be used.
All images should be matched with a comment that captures the motivation for owning a durable latrine. The illlustrations could include the use of recurring characters that the target audience can identify themselves with.
The first images can be sketches as they will be used for preliminary market testing. Ongoing revisions may be required based on the outcomes of the market testing.
Black and white. Can be used as small images (17cm x 8 cm) or expanded into full page (A4 size). Individual images should be provided as jpgs and compiled into a pdf.
