Three Armed Decoy is an Irish alternative metal band. Our target audience is for anyone that enjoys listening to original rock / metal music.

Three Armed Decoy requires an original full design for a 4 panel digipack: front cover, front/inside, back/inside having a see-through CD support, back cover and CD design. Name of Band: Three Armed Decoy Title of the EP: 'Throw Me To The Wolves' The theme of the EP: The theme of the EP revolves around an individual that finds himself alone / outnumbered & targeted by a group of individuals. It's the story of 'One against Many' .One Individual standing up for what is morally right against those that want to keep their misdemeanors hidden.The group has one leader and the others obey. The group's leader is a very dominant leader and will do everything in its power to go after and destroy the individual. The Front Cover & Main Artwork: To include - (Main Artwork + Band Name + Title of EP ) The main idea for the artwork is to use Wolves to surround / appear from shadows closing in on a lone man. See attached image of forest scene. The setting for the artwork can be in a secluded area forest etc / or a busy urban area whatever works best for you to achieve an original design so feel free to be creative as you like. I really like the way the image shows how the wolves close in on the man. But again feel free to be creative. I really like the way the wolves are crudely drawn especially the images of the wolves with the red eyes and perspective drawing. They don't have to be perfect slightly out of focus or having a smudged outline. I have also attached a few different images of ideas on how the wolves could look. Whatever works best.We're more interested in originality than anything else. The man on the front cover: I like the way he is hooded so if possible if you can keep the man hooded in the design but with a more modern grunge / alternative look. Another idea could be that the wolves could be human like - wearing black suit & Tie, standing upright, lurking in the shadows again closing in around the lone man. But the heads must be that of wolves if you are going to use this idea. I have also attached a roughly drawn sketch of a lone man surrounded and being interrogated by wolves sitting around a table. This could also be an option. We would like the main artwork to have a slightly dark & threatening feel but nothing gory, bloody or anything like that. As already mentioned we are an alternative metal band not Death / Black Metal. Please feel free to be as unique as possible. Focus mainly on the front cover design the rest of the design i.e. inside left, inside right & back panel can be kept simple as it will be mainly text going on the panels. I’ve also attached images of Font ideas for Band name & Title of EP. I like the idea of having a line above and below the band name similar to the Muse font. Again feel free to get creative Inside Left Panel: (Text on Inside Left Panel) Three Armed Decoy are: Antoin O’ Brien -Guitar & Vocals. Liam O’ Brien - Bass & Backing Vocals. Daragh Kenny -Drums. Again You don’t have to use this idea. Feel free to use your own ideas. Colours on inside left & inside right panels can be the same whatever works best, I'll leave it totally up to you. CD Artwork – The CD Artwork should be connected to the main artwork on front cover but obviously in less detail to that of the front cover. Text on CD: Band name - Three Armed Decoy. Spine: - Band Name & Title of EP General Guidelines: - Texts must be easily readable -Artwork must have a dark, threatening or menacing feel -Colours can be dark or a combination of Dark & Vibrant feel free to be as creative as possible to achieve an original design.I've attached images using dark colours like black mixed with vibrant colours.Again if it doesn't work that's fine just use your own creativity and originality. - Mainly focus your time and effort on the front cover. Attached files include - Template for CD Duplication Spec - Album info & Layout (Track List, Credits, etc.) - Designs/Fonts/Examples that we like: I have included images in the uploaded files section as examples just to give you an idea of what we like. Note from CD Duplication Company: Your designs should be in full colour (CMYK) rather than RGB. Images and text should be at least 300 dpi to ensure a high quality print. Please allow 3mm bleed on all sides of the digipak please. Please keep all text at least 3mm from the edge. For the disc artwork you can let the artwork run into the centre (rather than leaving a hub mark, which may cause a white line to print). Artwork / Templates: We can accept files as .pdf, .jpeg or .tiff format.

All we're really looking for is something original that grabs your attention. We really like Black,Grey,Red & White colours but open to vibrant colours also. So please don't feel that you have to stick rigidly to the brief. We are open to different ideas. If you require more info just let us know and we'd be more than happy to assist you.
