The Australia Institute is the country’s most influential progressive think tank. Based in Canberra, it conducts research on a broad range of economic, social and environmental issues in order to inform public debate and bring greater accountability to the democratic process.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
The aim of this graphic is to put into perspective the small amount of money that coal royalties give to the NSW government. We have quite a clear idea of how we want the graphic to be set out. I have attached a document which spells this out clearly but I will quickly outline it here.
We want the quote in the attached document at the top of the page.
The next part of the graphic is about showing this quote is wrong. It will involve an image showing that coal royalties make up only 2% of state revenue.
The final part of the graphic shows that coal royalties would fund schools, police and hospitals for just 3 weeks. We were thinking that a calendar would be a good way to illustrate this.
