mycareerheroes.com will be a website dedicated to helping people get their dream job. We will do this by providing custom designed resumes, portfolio websites, interview tips, and more. We will strive not only to provide high quality resume and portfolio website designs, but also to educate job seekers so that they are prepared to do well in interviews. Our primary target market is mid/entry level career seekers, both male and female, between the ages of 28-40. This group of people currently has a job that they are unhappy with, and want to put their best foot forward in trying to stand out amidst the hundreds of resumes submitted for career level openings.
What's your vision?
I am looking for a few hero character illustrations in vector format (think "the incredibles")I want these to be custom drawn, not clip art or copied from other sources. I would like a group of 2-3 heroes as well as a word mark to go with them. One hero can be the "primary" leading hero, with two supporting characters. I want to show both male and female, as well as different races. I am open to interpretation on the best method of creating these characters so that they meet our company goals and communicate them clearly. Having said that, one thought was to have the heroes dressed in business/academic type outfits, with capes/masks (basically showing the stages of people looking for pus services - Graduates, Mid-level Career, Entry-Level Career). This is not mandatory, simply an idea. I would also like the character to appear to be in our target demographic age (late 20's to 30's), not old or childish.MOST IMPORTANTLY I want these characters to be FUN and HEROIC looking - don't make your design too stale or businesslike. Think ENERGY, FUN, CONFIDENT :) Winning design may be asked to provide multiple poses of characters. The word mark doesn't need to be anything super detailed - I'm looking for a simple, modern font. I am open to creativity here though - if you can come up with something comicbooky that matches the characters. For extra credit, you can show these characters and word mark within the context of how they will be used - as a website header and business card setting.
Use your imagination. Look carefully and consider the name of the company along with our goals and what we are providing. Attempt to create characters that truly reflect what it is that we are. I have attached a few examples to show various styles that I like.
