Hi Creative Illustrators!
We require x4 very basic black line drawings to illustrate the instructions of a new product.
The illustrations should be simple, stylish, modern and reflect the feel and style of our current packaging illustrations (samples attached). It would be most ideal if you felt comfortable drawing hands for this particular assignment.
The x4 illustrations will be used in small format on the back of packaging, so should not contain more detail than is necessary to illustrate each step in the use of our new product.
The product is a contact-like adhesive film that is used to customise the sole of stiletto shoes.
The x4 steps we require illustrations for are:
1. Place templates (printed on the reverse side of the packaging) over the sole of your shoe to determine if our standard cutting guides match your sole template. (picture 1 in application instructions image)
2. Trace the cut template onto the paper backing of the contact adhesive film before trimming the adhesive film to shape. Reverse the pattern for the other shoe. (picture 2 in application instructions image)
4. Carefully peel away backing paper to reveal adhesive surface. Starting in the arch of the heel, press the adhesive contact to your sole, ensuring that you avoid air bubbles under the film. Rub the adhesive material firmly with your thumbs to ensure maximum adhesion. Rest your up-turned stiletto on a soup or soda can to maintain stability whilst applying the adhesive contact. (picture 3 in application instructions image)
4. Trim away any excess with a craft blade or scissors as required and admire! (picture 4 in application instructions image)
An application photo montage of the process along with an image of the templates is attached for your reference. The templates should be represented in the illustrations for step 1 & 2 (where appropriate).
Please note only the shoe, hands, scissors, craft blade and adhesive strips need to be represented in the illustrations. No background is necessary.
We welcome your creative licence. If you consider there to be a better way to illustrate the steps - we invite you to do so!
Many thanks for your help illustrators, we look forward to your creative output!
