Seduction: Love, Loss, Leverage, Murder is a power-soaked political thriller, offering readers/listeners "peak behind the curtain" into global affairs and power's dark underbelly. The plot centers on Rachel, a bestselling political sciences author and Ted Donovan, a man hired to "seduce" and kill the political enemies of one powerful man.
Quick Synopsis:
Rachel, a bestselling social science/political author, suffers PTSD from a sexual assault. A man named Ted Donovan who runs a global non-profit called The Praise Foundation takes Rachel under his wing. Ted's motives are unclear but his girlfriend 20 years earlier had been raped and killed. It turns out Ted "seduces" and kills rapists and murderers (a la Dexter) using The Praise Foundation as a cover. A Koch Brother type (named Vanderhaagen in the book) knows Ted's secret and blackmails him into "seducing" (read: killing) people who stand in the way of his political goals.
Some concepts/images/ideas: Globe that has been shattered and the subtitle (Love, Loss, Leverage, Murder) comes out of the globe; Lake George (the setting of much of the book - it's the presidential retreat where Ted and Rachel participate in a presidential Think Tank); presidential seal; a tear in the cover revealing something (representing tearing away the facade and discovering an unsettling truth). Play with these concepts or come up with your own. The winning design will be the one that stands out the most while relaying some of the themes of power, seduction and political intrigue.

In SEDUCTION, author Rachel Allen suffers from PTSD and lives in New York City. She reunites with Theodore X. Donovan, the man who saved her life from a brutal rapist years before. Ted, wealthy philanthropist with international connections and founder of The PRAISE Foundation, harbors a dangerous personal agenda. Because of Rachel's and Ted's high profile work for human rights, both are invited to serve on an eight member presidential think tank that convenes at an isolated Lake George cabin in the Adirondack Mountains of NY. It is here that Rachel recognizes the depth of Ted's skewed sense of love and patriotism, forcing her to face her worst fears. Meanwhile, the FBI, in pursuit of a serial killer with ties to PRAISE, needs to interview Ted who has accepted a covert deadly presidential mission with international repercussions. With many lives are at stake, a terrified Rachel must fight for her own life, love, and country.
