Who are you known as?
A Murder of Storytellers llc
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are an indie publishing company aimed at speculative fiction. We particularly like anything with a dark edge. Our aim is to build community among writers and encourage everyone to be their best. We have a strong focus toward writers and stories that are often ignored or marginalized--LGBT+ and writers/characters of color. We publish books in English. Both e-books and paperback.
Our target audience is both readers and writers.
The logo will be used on book covers, business cards, letterhead, website, maybe t-shirts someday. Really, anywhere that a logo can go.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Entertainment & The Arts
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Reds: Energy, action, passion and love.
Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
I really like the idea of a crow/raven with book pages for wings, maybe with some of the pages falling and fluttering behind it. Or some kind of tree full of crows or ravens with the roots forming some of the letters. But, mostly, I want it to be inspired and look good on any color of background, or have a glow or box added to it to make it look on any background. Because it's going to go on book covers and they come in all colors.
The colors we primarily use on our website are red, white, black, and grey.
Our company name is a play on words. A group of crows is called a "murder" and a gathering of ravens is called a "storytelling". So, I definitely want one or the other included.
