I am a (traveling) portrait photographer...most of my business is family, newborn and a bit of boudoir portraiture. The look I am hoping for my logo is something that would convey a 'heritage' or 'established' brand, but in a creative field.
***Please note: I don't want something too simple like just the letters alone or in a plain shape like a circle or square. In the past I've made my own logo in photoshop so can do a plain text or simple one in PS and was hoping to come here for someone to create something more intricate then what I have done for myself in the past just using fonts.*** (I added this to hopefully give better direction as quite a few designers were submitting work that I felt would fall into this category and I am hoping to save designers the time instead of going in that direction)*****
My target client is someone who is generally women in their 30s and early 40s who are very well travelled and have an appreciation for quality over the "newest" trendy thing. (I am trying to cater to someone like myself actually...I am an expat living abroad (Bangkok right now) and we move quite a bit).....My ideal clients are the type of people who consider themselves sophisticated, modern but who value tradition and who have plenty of discretionary income to spend on the luxury of custom portraiture. I want to target the type of person who is looking for a heirloom album of images to hand down to generations, and who are drawn to luxe and elegant branding.
A good way to describe my client is they are someone who is happy to pay the extra money to forgo the latest and greatest, but instead want the tried and trusted (and somewhat exclusive) experience, they are the people who would choose to stay at a heritage hotel like the Raffles Hotel in Singapore, the Manila Hotel in the Philippines, the Gasparilla Inn or The Biltmore Hotel in Florida for example, these places have such a beautiful look and old world 'feel' to them. I give these examples because I think these hotel's clients are my ideal client.
