We are open to designs that use the name "Bixby" or "City of Bixby". Unique to Bixby is a river that runs through the town dividing the North and South parts of the city, a bridge connects the two areas. One idea is to capitalize on the X in our name because bi - by (buy) are on either side. We are the #1 growing city in Oklahoma. The population was 13,336 at the 2000 census and 20,884 in the 2010 census, an increase of 56.6 percent. Today our population is over 26,000. In 2010, Bixby became the 19th largest city in Oklahoma. We are nicknamed "The Garden Spot of Oklahoma". Though one of the fastest growing communities in Oklahoma, Bixby remains a sod-growing center and a popular location for purchasing fresh vegetables. We are a mayor-council form of government. The city has two distinct districts - The Market District and The River District. We are also open to taglines. Unique to Bixby is our family friendly environments with plentiful city amenities, A+ public school districts, and highest median income in the area. Bixby is in the heart of one of the highest growing retail markets and provide ample opportunity for business to thrive. Although Bixby is growing, many residents feel it is important to keep the "small town charm" alive.
