City Life Church needs a new logo

Community & Non-Profit
We are a faith based community organization serving people in need in our city. We aim to appeal to 20 to 30 year olds.
Logo types to explore
This logo is for a community based organization that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of needy people. We are a group of people who aim at making a difference with our lives, we want the community we live in to be a better place and we have a heart to serve others. We are here to help. That is the message we want the logo to convey. We do this by not only serving practical needs in our community, but by building genuine friendships: helping each other to help each other. We are about meeting needs, building friendships and serving the community. The logo needs to be simple, easy to understand (not complicated), reproducable, clear and clean. Avoid sharp edges, we don't want the logo to have a corporate, cold, rigid, stiff aloof feel. But rather we want it to have warm, friendly, organic, natural earthy, edgy feel. We would like it to be personal and relatable. Some ideas of an image to incorporate into or alongside the logo: growing young tree, light, silhouttes of people (this keeps it personal), people helping people. We prefer to not have a city scape, unless it is very contemporary and edgy. Not stiff buildings in the background. Please stay away from any obvious religious symbols. It would be nice to see some logos with just the words in the design and no icons. Maybe try different fonts working together, different colors working together: thick and thin. Stay away from tried and true (old, established) fonts. We want something with spark, pizzazz, interesting, unique, but simple. Please no complex designs. Many of the logos coming in are not young enough. The audience we want to appeal to are people in their 20's and 30's who are fun, energetic, active, alive, relational, cutting edge. Stay away from all trees in the design. Take a look at these logos for inspiration: http://naldzgraphics.net/inspiratio…rch-logos/ Don't use trees in your logo. Also, please stay away from rounded, bubbly looking fonts. I want something edgy, contemporary. I don't want something that looks juvenile, or kindergartenish or like it would work for a school or for little kids. Also, this is a church, so please include the word church in your logo. A lot of the designs have people and trees. This creates the idea of people interacting with the earth. That is NOT the idea we are going for. We want people helping people. Relationship, friendship, resulting in impacting and helping another person. Please stay away from designs that incorporate both people and plants/trees. When representing people in your design, please don't use overly simplistic flat images of people (like you would see on a handicapped parking space sign). If you have people helping people, make it look like the person is helping the other person, not just a static image of two people side by side. I am looking for ideas beyond just trees or leaves and the word citylife. I would like to see more designs with sunlight or light or bright/hope/sunburst/newlife kind of ideas. We want your creative ideas! Thank you for your time!
