Our founders come from two entirely different backgrounds - one is an extremely accomplished producer in the R&B and Latino genres and has won awards for scoring several extremely popular TV shows and movies; and the other is an extremely accomplished artist manager who was successful with one of the most popular, highest grossing pop/rock artists of the 90s. Together, their label will span multiple genres with a focus on pop country and Americana/classic rock. The name Copperline originated from James Taylor's song "Copperline" and is the name of the co-founder's studio. The duo is very "new school" in the old school boys club of the Nashville music business and are doing things the non-Nashville way. The music business has changed dramatically over the last twenty years and our logo should represent this new era in a fresh, modern yet classic way that will appeal to both the old school and new school artists and industry leaders. It should communicate confidence and be bold.
