Law school is a dreary, colorless place. An incessant grey haze looms over students as they shuffle around the corridors, heavily laden by trial briefs and books. But in this monochromatic setting, two bright spots stood out among the rest: Marc and Bennett. At a presentation, Marc once complemented his dark ensemble with a bright yellow watch - Bennett took note, as the color seemed to radiate the whole room. Likewise, Marc quickly identified Bennett when the latter flared up his earth tone boots and emblazoned the halls with red laces. They finally met one another in 2011, and as the two got to know each other they kept returning to how they first recognized their mutual sense of style. They realized that even the most conservative of outfits, with a slight tweak of color, can make a bold statement. They held on to that belief and sought to create a brand that capitalizes on it. Thus, Crayon was born.
Crayon will offer an array of men's fashion accessories, including colored shoe laces, socks, ties, etc. With Crayon, the consumer will be able to take an otherwise traditional outfit and color it with distinction. To wear a Crayon product is to make a subtle, yet powerful statement, so that whether you’re in a law school, a corporate boardroom, or a black tie affair, you won’t have to sacrifice tradition or class to stand out. With even the smallest dose of color, you can dress the part while still showcasing your sense of fashion. As Marc and Bennett say: “don’t paint in broad strokes, color within the lines.”
