petalsense got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a BEAUTIFUL IDENTITY for a new 100% NATURAL PERFUME range
Check out petalsense's Logo design contest…
Petal Sense produces 100% natural, single-scent spray perfumes. We make perfume the way it was first made many, many years ago. We blend premium essential oil (which is created by steam distilling large quantities of flower petals) with alcohol (food grade ethanol from local Australian sugar cane) to create glorious smelling, real scents, with no nasty chemicals. Our 11 scents include sweet florals like Red Rose, White Rose, Pink Lotus, Lotus, Frangipani and Jasmine as well as the woody scents of Palo Santo and Argarwood (suitable for men). Petal sense is about helping people to feel good and smell great… naturally. Traditional perfumes are full of chemical imitations as they are much cheaper and easier to produce than the real thing. We believe that nature knows best. The plants are also full of the naturally medicinal properties they have been used for thousands of years. Our target market is females aged between 25-45 years old. They care about their health and wellbeing and increasingly choose natural products over those containing chemicals they know are not good for them (and can lead to cancer). They enjoy luxury items and are happy to pay a bit more for them. They work hard and believe in treating themselves sometimes. Our target market lives all over Australia and beyond. They are confident, smart, sexy, fun, adventurous and perhaps a little bit quirky. Petal Sense HQ lives in the beautiful sub-tropical hinterland of Byron Bay, NSW, Australia. We love the environment and believe it is our duty to operate as sustainably as possible. There's no bubble wrap here! The perfume comes in all re-useable/recyclable packaging. The 15ml bottle comes in a 100% recycled cardboard box packed with straw and flower petals (see attached image).
Logo types to explore
The logo is to be used on everything! From the bottle labels and boxes to the website, letterhead, business cards etc. A horizontal logo won’t work on the bottles (see attached images). The logo is to be colourful and vibrant, but also work as one colour. Contemporary and cool. A visual representation of the business. I like the idea of the type being a plant that spews out a spray of different flower petals...? Although we are starting off with perfume, we do plan to expand into all-natural body washes, moisturisers, and deodorants and so on too. However the perfume will always be the core of our business. Thank you and good luck!
