We need three components to help develop our brand:
1) LOGO: a graphic icon that is simple but strong. Avoid cluttered, complicated designs. The meaningful and memorable feature of Half-it-alism is that half of profits are allocated to positive change, and therefore would suggest designs that depict "half of profits" or "half of money" in some creative and appealing way would be a good place to start. That said, we would like to encourage you to find your own way with this design: our previous suggestions were taken too literally and inflexibly and we feel both parties missed out as a result. It is up to you to show how us how complete a designer you are!
We want to emphasize that an 'official' look is what we're seeking... a logo that could be used as a badge or certification or stamp for companies that join the Half-it-alist movement. Consider B-Corp, Fair-Trade or USDA Organic as examples... we DO NOT suggest them as specific design samples to follow (we think you can do better!) but hopefully you can see how they make bold, clear statements.
2) WORDMARK: the written component of our brand, which MUST be presented exactly like one of these two options (paying attention to hyphenation/capitalization):
3) SLOGAN: We would like the phrase "Giving Half Makes Us Whole" to be included with the other brand components, in a matching aesthetic. However, this third piece will not be used as part of the branding at all times, so please make sure in can easily be removed or added to the other brand elements.
PLEASE NOTE: while we encourage you to show us your creativity, your concept MUST work in one color. You may show us alternative presentations using color and gradation but please show us your design in black & white. The winning design will need to be vector-based: EPS or AI files.
We have big plans for this initiative, so the successful designer will have the satisfaction of seeing their talent featured in a global marketplace!
Good luck and thank you for your interest! We look forward to seeing what you come up with!
