Entertainment & The Arts
Firefox Press is an indie publisher of ebooks, hardcovers, and paperback books. We publish novels, essays, and highly crafted photography books. Logo will appear on spine of book, inside front page, website, business cards, postcards, decals, and t-shirts.
Other color requirements
definitely fox red possibly black or white detailing or accents--artist is free to explore
Fox is female! Colors for Fox drawing: fox red (that vivid orangey red) Font can be fox red or black Fox vibe: Elegant power and strength. Svelte, graceful, strong and powerful. Fox can look wild. Font: An Old World vibe that suggests dusty old libraries, old book binding workshops, and rare and ancient manuscripts. But strong. I’d like the X in "Firefox" to be a sort of slash if that works. Like the Z slash in Zorro. Almost like it was carved by a sword in a fit of passion. Design: The face: I’d like the face and head slightly tilted down with eyes closed. (see attached foxface photo for tilt of head and zenfox photo for eyes closed) The body: The fox sitting with the tail curving around her. (see sittingfox photo) Tail: I’d like the tail to look like a flame or fire if possible, either in design or color. Feel free to experiment and express your own vision. If it doesn't work, don't worry. Above all, I'd like it to be very simple and clean. It will fit on the spine of a book which is only about an inch wide and I'd like it to be recognizable even that small. But I also want it to be cool enough for t-shirts and decals. I'd like to be able to use the image of the fox independently from the name, Firefox Press. For example to have buttons or decals made with just the fox, but also to use the fox image and "Firefox Press" together on websites and letter head. p.s. I'm a firefighter as well, and I was hoping to tie in both aspects of my life: fire & fiction. About me: Attention Talented Designers, Let me tell you more about myself. I am a firefighter/paramedic/rescue diver/and special ops flight medic with Miami Dade Fire Rescue. I have a group, Triple F--Fabulous Female Firefighters! with over 2,000 members. I write for Fire Rescue Magazine and blog on fire, EMS, resilience, trauma, etc. I also write novels. I'd like to create a brand--Firefox--that encompasses my firefighting identity and my work as a writer/novelist. I know this is a strange mix, but it's what I do. Therefore, please no cute foxes! They are adorable, but my brand is not cute. I want it to be feminine, but fierce and tough. Tough, I know! May the odds be ever in your favor! Gea
