afreedman got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a logo that captures the pride of being a Board Certified Occupational Therapist
Check out afreedman's Logo design contest…
We need one design for two versions of the pin. It is explained further under the other details section. OTR version should include: the NBCOT logo, "Board Certified Occupational Therapist" and the OTR registered mark. The COTA version should include the NBCOT logo, "Board Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant," and the COTA registered mark.
Community & Non-Profit
This logo is for a pin to be proudly worn by a certified occupational therapist (OT). There are two levels of certification, Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). We need one design but with the unique language for each gorup (OTR and COTA). Details are in the "other" comment box. NBCOT, the sponsor of this logo design contest, is the credentialing board that manages the OT certification. www.nbcot.org An introduction to OT Occupational therapy helps patients recover or develop skills needed for the activities of daily living, including self-care, leisure, independent living and work. Therapists work in hospitals, in schools, in nursing homes and with patients in their own homes. Patients who benefit from occupational therapy, or OT, include people who have had strokes, people with autism and other developmental disorders, people recovering from certain surgeries (including hip replacements), people who suffer from depression or anxiety, as well as veterans and the elderly. OTs are amazing professionals whose work is a gift to society. We want this new logo pin to help display pride in the profession and with their certification.
Logo types to explore
We need one design but with two versions - specifically changing the wording on each. The first version should include the "NBCOT" logo; plus the words "Board Certified Occupational Therapist;' plus the OTR registered mark logo. The second should include the "NBCOT" logo; plus the words "Board Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant;" plus the "COTA" registered mark logo. Logo files are included with the brief. Note - we are not necessarily expecting a image on the pin, rather we'd like to see the words creatively placed for a pin with appropriate graphical elements. The two most likely sizes and shapes for a pin are 1" round or a rectangle roughly 1.25" wide x say 3/4" high. The final logo will be printed on a metal plate in full color with a coating. The back will be a magnetic disk.
