The logo and color scheme will be used as a basis for the color palette of the website. So while it would be good if it worked on a white background, e.g. for business cards and letterhead, I don't want it to only work on a white background so that I have to have either a white-background website or a white block containing the logo on the website.
The name 'Epektasis' means infinite possibilities of spiritual growth and wellbeing; endless flourishing; ever-increasing potentiality, creativity and possibility.
I would like the branding overall to evoke these kinds of emotions and impressions:
• Integrated: both logical & analytical AND spiritual & creative.
• Spiritual but not flaky
• Trustworthy & reliable
• Economically informed
• Concern for the environment, the poor, social justice
• Forward looking
Imagery I don’t want: Anything that suggests one particular readily-identifiable flavour of spirituality – e.g. Christian cross, Buddhist wheel etc.
It would be good if the logo worked OK as a black and white / grayscale version too.
Current website (yes I know - very average looking) will be refreshed in light of design ideas, but it gives you an idea of the kinds of colors I prefer, especially in the main photo: http://www.brettparris.com
