A Smarter Way to Feed Your Plecos (This may potentially be left off)
Animal & Pet
The Pleco Feeder is an aquarium fish feeding device. The Pleco Feeder is a device that will feed your plecos and other aquarium fish. It accomplishes this by allowing the user to screw produce or meat onto the end and securely hang the food in the tank. Your aquarium fish can easily feed from the device.

**Update 8/1/2013 In an effort to clarify my design brief I have condensed it into a list of items that I am looking for. Please use the following items to help you in your design creation. I would like the design to be square The design should have a pleco silhouette I would like the device in the design and it should be vertical with the coil at the bottom The font should be easy to read I prefer solid colors rather than gradients I prefer rich, bold colors as opposed to pale colors Here is a design I like: http://99designs.com/logo-design/contests/help-hilo-pet-shop-logo-206607I like the design because it has a character the is not too cute, and the design clearly conveys that it is for a pet shop. It has a professional feel without being too serious or too cute. What I am looking for is something that is not too cute and coveys that The Pleco Feerder is a special device that will feed your pleco in a new way. ** End update Hello Designers, Thank you for taking the time to look at my design. I have been working on my product, The Pleco Feeder, for three years now. The patent has been filed and we are set to start manufacturing in the coming weeks. Although I have created a logo, I do not feel it has the professional punch to get my product noticed in the way I want it to be. This is where I need your help. I am launching a new product, The Pleco Feeder and I want a professional logo that I can use on business cards and packaging. I have a rough package and will want to work with the winning designer to finalize the packaging and possibly a website. I have included the description of the device and what it does. I have also included some photos of plecos and competing devices. This link will take you to images of plecos. Some plecos grow very large and are not suitable for aquariums, but many are. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors, I would like the logo to be generic, rather than a specific pleco. The plecos with a bushy nose are the males, that could potentially be used in the logo or not. PlecoAndDevicePhotos.zip contains photos of plecos and competitor devices - Just and fyi for you DeviceAndPackaging.zip is the final version of the device and potential packaging for the device - to be worked on after this contest with the winning designer - please note that other pictures may have other versions of the device that differ slightly - use this one DeviceInAction.zip has the pleco feeder in use in an aquarium Finally below are some comments about the logo I created from a designer I know who is also an aquarium hobbyist: Hi Doug, would like to give some advice on branding approach and overall design. Having a great product gets you halfway there, but since you're getting ready to launch, I think it's important to have professionally designed branding established to establish your business' credibility. Having looked at the postcard and website design, I don't think it's there for several reasons: The product logo is not effective. It doesn't give any insight to the product itself--there's a disconnect. Looking at the logo should give a recall to the product itself. And the pleco is so small in relation to the gigantic type that it's insignificant, whereas I think the pleco is key to the branding since it's a pleco feeder. The logo just doesn't say "pleco feeder". Most pleco food is green. I think your signature color should be some sort of green. The red is another disconnect. -gary Thank you for your time and please let me know if you need any clarification(s) about the design. Doug Patac
