Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Q.E.D. is a learning and performance space in Queens, NY. It offers classes ranging from pickling, home brewing and understanding cheese to paper flower making, knitting and macrame and everything in between. On some nights and weekends it's a performance space for open mike stand up comedy, readings, panel discussions, storytelling, etc.
The tagline is "A place to show & tell"
I hope to appeal to a younger demographic (40 and below) and comedians & performers. Smart people who want to have fun in nerdy ways. Young people who want to get off the internet to meet other like-minded people while learning something new. Performers who want to try stuff out in a safe, no pressure, no drink minimum environment.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Entertainment & The Arts
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Definitely can't have an image of a brain in the logo. But other images symbolizing ideas, wheels turning, creativity and fun are okay. Just not an overt brain or skull. Overall, I like vintage and retro designs.
I had a couple of ideas spring to mind…
How about using the Queens World's Fair globe…perhaps as the encompassing circle or as the Q in QED. Not sure about the rights of using an image of it. Is there a public domain one?
And the lightbulb has popped up a couple of times in designs which made me envision the Q as the top part of the bulb w/the ED underneath like the filament. Could be too corny or could be really cool.
Just some ideas that were sparked from this. And sparked! Spark plugs…hmm… maybe not. Heh.
