I would like to stay clear of organic elements in the logo ie) flowers, leaves, ivy etc. I prefer a look that is "contemporary cool" if that means anything! I also do not wish to have a font that looks handwritten or cursive - it does not match my photographic style, and both the organic and retro-writing look is being used to death in the industry and I'd like to be different. Currently I have a simple star in my logo, maybe an updated star would look good? Things I like from my Pinterest board: http://www.pinterest.com/juliekimph…ol-design/
In particular, I like the Heartstring logo (maybe with a star instead?). I also love the overlapping colour look seen on Paul Auster's cover, the circus poster and the business cards from 3angrymen. The logo will also need to be used on stationery and a watermark. The logo doesn't need to have "photography" in it.
