Tom @ Your Dsposal got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a modern, fresh logo for Dsposal - a tech start up for the waste industry
Check out Tom @ Your Dsposal's Logo design contest…
We are a waste technology company and our product is a cloud based, waste compliance management system. We believe in using technology to help our users better understand their waste and their responsibilities of that waste, and this in turn will benefit the environment. Our users are professionals within companies that are responsible for the safe collection, transport and disposal of hazardous waste. They will be both men and women with a broad split of ages but most likely 25+. The companies our users work for will be a broad range from massive multinational manufacturers making glass bottles, steel and cars etc. to small independent companies producing, for example, bearings, cutlery or brass fittings to car garages or the fire service.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Let designers make suggestions: Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication. Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Tom @ Your Dsposal collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
My experience with Design Street (DS) could not have been better. Most other designers would come up with a design and just provide simple variations of their original submission. DS went beyond and gave several, totally different looks and ideas for me to consider. When I gave DS feedback and asked for revisions, they were very quick to respond and actually listened to me. When one of the designs started shaping up, they provided images that showed how the design would look in actual circumstances, like printed hand-out cards, etc. This helped greatly. DS was professional, responsive and imaginative. I could not have asked for a better experience and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for design help.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
