We sell fashionable camouflage apparel and accessories to folks who wear it as part of a lifestyle, and we're looking for a unique and clever logo to help build our brand. The primary audience would be more country folks (primarily girls/women to begin with) more than the hunting crowd. Here are example products: http://www.cavenders.com/search.htm Sites our audience would visit (for inspiration) are in the notes below.
Logo types to explore
We're looking for a strong, fashionable logo that will resonate with the camo-wearing crowd. Typically they will be hard-working folks who ascribe to the country lifestyle, like to own horses, enjoy hunting and the ourdoors etc. Sites our audience would visit (for design inspiration) would be: http://www.browning.com/, http://www.bootbarn.com/, http://www.mossyoak.com/, http://www.realtree.com/, http://www.cabelas.com/, http://www.thecamoshop.com/ The logo should also be something that can be embroidered on clothing (general apparel, hats etc.) and would also need to work in B&W (both web, print). Design should be unisex, and have a bit of an attitude/edginess (but not institutional). We want people to be proud to wear the logo, as camo generally implies guns, hunting, country, proud to be from the south...and now that is in fashion. This logo is over the top for us, but exudes an attitude: http://images.bidorbuy.co.za/user_images/982/428BadBoy-Logo.gif Inspiration would be deer / antlers / crown - ideally, it would be great to have a clever pictorial logo that incorporates a crown and antlers or lion or the initials CK in a unique way, along with nice typography for the name. Being able to use the pictorial part of the logo, without the text, would also be a bonus. We haven't established a color palette yet, but given that the design should be unisex, more neutral colors (grays/light colors/blues) along with a nice accent color would be great. Typical camouflage patterns are shades of grays, blacks, greens and browns, and it would be great to have those colors stay with the products themselves, while our design would be more neutral to let the products stand out on a website, for example.
