Create the next logo for Epic Slow Mo

Epic Slow Mo

We are creating a web show featuring awesome, ridiculous, creative, and downright epic slow motion video content.

We are looking for a logo that is popping, loud, and exciting, but also bold and powerful. We like the idea that the design of our logo reflects the words. For example, the style of "Epic" should be very powerful and, well, epic, and the style of "Slow Mo" should reflect some aspect of slow motion.

Our main focus and requirement for this logo is the text (Epic Slow Mo), but we are still open to adding other creative design elements such as symbols, shapes and drawings.

We are really looking for a modern design that is catchy, stands out, and packs a punch. We don’t really want to see corporate-style designs, as they are generally too plain and safe. Our website is going to be fun but also edgy (featuring epic slow motion videos of fire, water, explosions, you name it) and we want the logo to reflect that.

The design should stand out enough to make people want to explore further just based on the look of the logo alone. The title “Epic Slow Mo” on its own hopefully suggests some sense of awesomeness and adrenaline. Since that will be the basic feel we’re going for on the site, that is definitely a feel we want to have reflected in the logo. Give the design some energy and give it some edge. Think about logos for roller coasters: they have to be fun and draw you in, but they also have to suggest a certain intensity and energy.

Finally, we’ve always thought it would be appropriate to have the style of the words reflect the definitions of the words themselves. Try making the word “Epic” have some sense of epic design, and try making the words “Slow Mo” embody the idea of slow motion in some way, while making sure the design of the overall logo is consistent and works as a whole.
