Simple, clean and exactly what we wanted! Good job by nik007
I thought the designer adjusted very well during the contest. I was originally going with another design. But he must have noticed I like the sword and shield feel to the logo design and he was able to make an adjustment that made his design my favorite.

The attached logo is our current logo. We like the use of the hot air balloon, as well as the colors. The logo should communicate that we work with children and families, but it does not need to be overly childish. We would like for it to be somewhat whimsical and like the idea of a silhouette of children chasing the balloon or something like that. We like the handwriting look of the font. We are okay with a modified logo rather than completely re-designed, we just think it's time for an updated look.
Logo must be at least 600dpi, but keep in mind that the logo needs to look crisp and clean when scaled down for use as a header logo on a website (roughly 100 pixels in height). Please include the layered photoshop (.psd) file along with all font files (.ttf).
