How Costa Creatives started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Hingham 4th of July Parade
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Long standing 4th of July parade (375 plus years) that highlights community spirit and patriotism. The parade serves and draws in participants and specters from Hingham, MA and the entire South Shore community including neighboring towns. The target audience is broad and includes families and businesses and we are looking to brand in a way that will keep us relevant and marketable.
We want to have a logo that communicates a classic feel - traditional without being stuffy. We are looking for a way to portray tradition and patriotism in a way that is still relevant and effective to use in traditional and new media including: print ads, flyers, stickers, social media, Facebook, website, etc. We like the idea of a single icon that can be used in any of those venues and could be placed on a button or t-shirts.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Community & Non-Profit
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Ideas that committee members have shared about the logo include an Uncle Sam hat and stars and stripes.
Our parade route follows Main Street and is highlighted by the center lines of the road painted red, white and blue instead of the the typical double yellow line.
The parade route starts at the high school and goes through town and finishes at Hingham Harbor.
Hingham, MA is a coastal community.
This parade is completely community funded - there is not government or civic organization finical support.
We are not looking for:
cartoons of historial figures
just about fireworks (they are separate from this event and committee)
just a flag image
*****Colors need to be identifiable on the Pantone color chart.
