Update for Finalists:
As we enter the final round, there are essentially three important things I want the logo to do, in order for it to tell the story of our church.
1. It needs to include a water theme. I've liked the idea of a drop, and have encouraged designers to go in that direction. This is because I feel like the drop can represent a person, which is important for the second point.
2. It needs to include some kind of ripple effect. This can be a wave, or a curved line, or really anything, so long as it is underneath the drop. This is because I want it to look like the drop is making the ripple, which tells the story of each person making an impact. Some of the logos have this included as part of the "S," which I love.
3. I would really like for the graphic portion of the logo to be an "S." You will notice each final concept includes this. This would emphasize the "S" in "Springs," a major word in the name, and the "S," which is perhaps the most emphatic letter in the name. While it is not necessary, if this "S" also includes the ability to be used inside the font, that is a plus.
On a related note, I've settled on the aquas as a color palette. So I will lean towards those colors in the concepts.
Thank you all for your concepts. I've really enjoyed this process.
