World Head and Neck Cancer Day (WHNCD) is held on the 27 July each year and started in the US about 7 years ago. The idea was developed by healthcare professionals and has never had a professional logo developed. See link for WHNCD details and flyer developed for this year by IFHNOS http://ifhnos.net/whncd/Index/. FYI - Also attached is the poster that was developed by Beyond Five (the Australian head and neck cancer charity) last year .
Australia is keen to develop a logo that could potentially be used globally to support WHNCD awareness activities! It would be great for the logo to have the ability to be customised depending on the country where activities are being held e.g. WHNCD in Australia.
We need a logo designed that's appealing to young and old and can be used across a variety of platforms - social media, print, posters etc.
The head and neck cancer awareness ribbon is Maroon but we would like the logo to be bright, catchy and appealing so would like to choose other colours - unless you can make Maroon more appealing! Beyond Five (the Australian charity leading this logo development) has blue and green as our colours. These could be used for the WHNCD logo.. (see Beyond Five logo attached) but we're open to other ideas.

People with head and neck cancer often survive treatment but have significant issues with facial disfiguration, swallowing, eating, talking well beyond five years after treatment.
