Film Festival
The GayCharlotte Film Festival, first established in 2009, has become an annual event in the Queen City and since 2014 has been a program of Charlotte Pride. Our mission is to entertain, enlighten, and build valuable bridges of understanding, support, and acceptance within and between the LGBTQ and ally communities in the Charlotte region. Today, the GayCharlotte Film Festival is one of Charlotte’s premiere arts and cultural events, which has brought thousands of attendees together to celebrate the artistic, cultural, and historical contributions of LGBTQ and ally individuals, all through the power of film.
Tasteful use of traditional LGBT Pride rainbow (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple) or of purple and pink combos with other colors.
The GayCharlotte Film Festival is an annual showcase of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) themed films. We are rebranding our festival name to be more inclusive of our entire community and we will be offering a community voting contest with three names, allowing our local community members to have a voice in the new name we choose. We have three names and we need you to design three logo variations from which voters can choose. The three names are: (1) Charlotte Queer Film Fest, (2) Out Charlotte Film Fest, and (3) Reel Out Charlotte. If you are chosen as our designer, we'll work with you on other projects and to refine the logo design for the final options and the community-chosen winner.
