Duc Denim is a Mexican startup with the idea of selling the perfect jeans for men, using the best materials, fabrics and fibers but an affordable price. We will achieve this by selling exclusively online, directly from the factory to the final client. We love denim and we know everything about it, from its origins, the best fits, washes and attention to detail, so we can give you the perfect looking, most comfortable jeans at a level you don't imagine. We want to bring to market a kind of premium brand quality pants, but at a price of a Zara jean for example of $800 to $900 Mexican pesos (more or less $50 USD). Our target are male from 25 to 45 years of age, that can be successful workers (entrepreneur or employees) from middle to high class. People that must look good based on the circle that they move around, but that can appreciate the comfort of their garments, all of our jeans are stretch and with comfort and quality in mind, so men can enjoy them all day every day and still look sharp no matter if they are at the office, a client meeting, family dinner or enjoying a Sunday at the park with their kids.
Duc de Nîmes [nim] means "Duke of Nim" which is the French city where Denim comes, hence the name Denim, that means "From Nim" and we chose the word Duke for its positive connotation of a leader (that leads from the front) and because that is a gift title that the King uses to congratulate someone special. The idea is that we are giving to our clients the title of "Duc de Nîmes" while wearing denim pants worth of royalty. First we thought of the brand "Duc de Nîmes" but we think that it is going to be better communicated graphically and better understand just as "Duc Denim". Both are registered and ready for the designer to choose from.

I like mixed logos, text and image
I like clever logos that with one image can communicate many things
We are looking for a simple but clever logo, elegant but manly, that expresses our company philosophy and that can be simplified to an image that we can use on our jeans as a symbol, not just on the waist label, but also as a little embroidery or patch on the pockets. Remember, jeans use a lot of applications and the logo should be dynamic enough to use as a hole or by parts.
