A charity that connects young people who want to volunteer physically with organisations that need their help. Typically our volunteers will be gardening, painting, etc (ie manual labour).
Regarding our brand, we are targeted towards 18-35 year olds interested in volunteering and giving back to the community. While we are called Down to Earth, we aren't focused on the environment and so we want to steer away from trees specifically in our logo (we are about volunteering generally, not about gardening, though obviously our operations lend themselves to ourdoor projects).
We are looking for a logo that works well in both color and B/W and at a variety of sizes. We are also keen to deck our volunteers out with t-shirt, so our logo would need to work blown up on the front of a shirt.
We are looking for a logo with impact that conveys a message of excitement. Something a young university student would look at at go "wow, what's Down to Earth, it looks like fun!". We don't want a very refined and controlled logo. We want to be the old 80s rainbow Apple logo, rather than the new black one.
We would much prefer our name to be surrounded by a pictorial shape, but are happy to review other submissions if they work well.
Colours aren't specified - I've selected orange and yellow as the preferences as the registration form suggested they would match our brand, but we are fine with any colours that work.
We want to be a fun community charity (rather than a foundation). We don't want generic "community" branding (like a circle of people holding hands).
It should be noted as well that we will not accept work unless it is 100% original.
Only too happy to provide more information if anyone needs it - please don't hesitate to ask.
