Ummenhofer Architekten is a professional architecture firm with a history and experience of over 25 years. We are an established firm with an expanse scope of projects and clients--many of whom have been working with us for over a decade. Our firm has worked on Architecture and Urban Design projects of various scales. Current and past projects include an embassy, urban planning for African cities, social housing, cultural and public buildings, offices, and commercial and residential buildings, both nationally and internationally. We are very happy and grateful to have such a positive reputation in the field of architecture and design.
Recently, we have acquired a Junior Partner at our firm and thus are in the process of renaming and reorganising the firm. Our desire is to utilise this transition to rejuvenate the identity of our firm. We wish to preserve our successful history and maintain current client relationships, while simultaneously modernising the appearance and approach of the firm and continue its legacy for years to come.
Our firm creates functional design primarily through the processes of consultation, problem solving, and meeting clients’ needs. Our philosophy is that successful architecture utilises design as a tool to create the best solutions, rather than a personal agenda. We individually tailor our designs to each project and client, while maintaining timelessness, integrity, and authenticity.
Therefore, we are seeking to create a logo which is simple and clean, maintains a classic and sophisticated appearance ( not a “hipster” or “modern” one), and is trustworthy in the sense that current clients will not feel skeptical about the new representation of the firm. An example of a style we like which is classic, yet has been reinvented in modern times, is Mid-Century design. It employs clean lines and curves, subtle details, and leaves a strong impression.
We are not looking for a pictographic logo (for example, a house or a floorplan, etc.). Instead, we would like to have a more typographic logo and/or a clever use of the firm’s initials (UA) to form an iconic logo.
Key points to summarise are:
-reflect established success of company of over 25 years
-creating a rejuvenated appearance without being too “hipster” “modern” or “chic”
-maintain a timeless, contemporary, and trustworthy representation of the firm
-create a typographic logo/and or iconic logo using the initials “UA” or simply the firms name
-utilise the qualities of clean lines and curves, subtle details, and strong impressions
