Please take a look at GameBlogs.net for the current site. After the logo is done I have more work around buttons etc. Please also take a look at facebook.com/gameblogsnet or twitter.com/gameblogsnet for what's there today (and then try to forget everything because I need to start fresh ;-))
Please make sure that whatever idea you have would work in small sizes as well. If the logo has more than one part, each part should ideally work on it's own (so that I can use it in buttons etc.).
I will give feedback as fast and as much as possible. I will also stop giving public feedback and work with each designer privately on their idea. Thanks!
Some words for how I would want to describe the final logo: Playful, enjoyable, fun (and while being all that - it needs to look professional).
A few more things after commenting on hundreds of designs. To begin with I'm really impressed by the engagement and enthusiasm which some of you show here. It's my first contest and it's really fun! And work. But fun!
A common theme of my last comments seems to be that I want to see:
- a clean, simple design- which works equally well in small sizes- which helps with branding (less bubble or simple controller, more memorability and uniqueness)- which looks professional (please - no more putting stuff together in 2 minutes with vectors from vectorstock.com. I will just eliminate those ones. I know that the money I pay would not work at an agency. But I can spend a dollar myself and by the gamepad vector to stick on top of text in Myriad Pro).
