Governor's Conference (statewide and VERY popular) needs a logo Design!

Community & Non-Profit
The 2012 Conference will feature a collaboration that is bringing together two successful conferences, organizations, and missions to promote service and build the capacity of nonprofits. The SAVI Community Information System (a program of The Polis Center at IUPUI and host of the Indiana Nonprofit Capacity Building Conference) builds capacity in organizations to use data effectively for informed decision-making. The partnership between OFBCI and SAVI compliments the strengths of each organization to bring an exclusive opportunity to our Indiana community and faith-based leaders. This statewide conference invites volunteer coordinators, nonprofit leadership, and national services members (AmeriCorps and Senior Corps) across the state for a unique opportunity to strengthen local resources, enhance citizen involvement in developing innovative solutions to community needs, and lift up Indiana’s true champions of service through our Governor’s Service Awards.
Logo types to explore
We love the attached logo titled, "Celebrating Community". We love the modern looking font and the wisp of the border that encompasses the wording, we would prefer to stay away from lots of straight lines. We like the look of the images around the circle and how it represents community whether that is urban, rural, children, etc. We also like how one building, tree, image, etc. does not stand out over the others. We also added the Iowa Pride and Art Link logos as we like the colors and the feel of those. - Fresh - Modern - Lively colors - Capture a community feel - Our audience is nonprofits who love serving their community We are bringing together two popular conferences that have historically served the same audiences. We want this logo to stand the test of time and become a brand for this conference. We want it to represent both parties while not necessarily favoring one or the other. The two parties are the Indiana Office of Faith-Based & Community Initiatives and SAVI community information system, with the Polis Center of the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Campus (I know, I know, the title of the conference and both party's titles are ridiculously long). In addition, we want something more artistic, fresh, modern, "nonprofity", and "community-esque".
