The design should be easily scalable. The logo (either both a symbol and test or just a symbol) will need to scale down small enough to fit on a small tag of the leotard. It must also scale nicely for digital, mobile, desktop web and even poster displays in show rooms.
The logo may find itself on both a light and dark background in various places.
The silhouette of a dancer is used by some competing brands so this is discouraged.
Ballet involves a lot of symmetry. It would be nice to see something symmetrical suggest, perhaps with "BB" and with one B in reverse? This might look like a butterfly or something. These are only suggestions and not requirements.
Colours need to be feminine but the logo should be clear and easy to read at a glance. Calligraphic fonts that make the name difficult to read are discouraged.
