Community & Non-Profit
The Burns Unit Fund is a fund set up in 1985 by the firefighters of Fire & Rescue NSW (ex NSW Fire Brigades) in Sydney, Australia to support the Royal Alexandra Hospital Burns Unit which is now located at the Westmead Children’s Hospital. The Burns Unit itself provides much needed care for children that have suffered which can only be described as horrific burns.
Logo types to explore
ABOUT OUR LOGO - As you can see from our current logo, its representative of links to Fire & Rescue NSW (ex. NSW Fire Brigades) while very much representative of those we support, children that are burns victims. We would like to maintain this fundamental design but would like it to be more contemporary. This may include a more front-facing bear or the creative use of colours. We are seeking creativity in this area. WHERE THIS WILL BE USED - We plan on using this on everything from our website thumbnail, stationary and on large banners and be a symbol of the support that Fire & Rescue NSW provides to the Burns Unit. COLOUR - Traditionally we've used red, white, yellow and blue. We are open to change while keeping in mind the organisation and children we represent. ORGANISATIONAL NAME – While we are primarily looking for a contemporary design on the bear and brass helmet, we would like to include the name of the organisation to the right of the bear. This is to remain independent to the design of the bear. SIZING - The design should be clean so that it can suitably scale. Additionally, all final art work will be required in high resolution (this may be redundant but we'd like it to be noted regardless). PLEASE DO NOT WITHDRAW DESIGNS - We would like to be able to review your original designs as well as your revisions so that we may continue to provide additional feedback based on what we liked in the original design.
